Maybe she wouldn't be gone
Hadn't been so stubborn
Been so selfish
Thought about her more
Thought about me less
Joked to make her laugh
Held her when she cried
I grabbed the car keys, slamming the phone down and racing out the door.
"No, she can't leave me!" I yelled at myself as I jumped in to the car and slammed the door. I revved up the engine, yelling curses at myself.
"Godammit man!" I cursed myself, "She even fucking warned me! I should've believed! Dammit, please let me be able to find her!" I raced down the empty highway. A few tears made them down my face and I hurriedly wiped them away with my sleeve.
"Please, _______... don't leave me!" I continued yelling at the windshield. I grabbed my cellphone and called her best friend, Elizabeta.
Ring, Ring, Ring, ri- click
"Oh thank god," I muttered.
"Hello Arthur, what do you want?" Eliza spat, clearly thinking I did something to _______, I never called her.
"Do you know where _______ is?! I can't bloody find her!" I almost yelled into the phone.
"No, I don't, what happened?!" she seemed as shocked as I was when she heard this.
"I don't know!" I yelled, smashing my fist on the steering wheel "I can't find her anywhere! She isn't at her usual place at the park and all the shops are closed for the holidays! Where would she be?!"
"I don't know! Come and pick me up, we'll look together, she couldn't've gone very far on foot!"
"Ok, I'll be there in ten." I told her, hanging up. I let a few tears fall and I called Alfred. He was ________'s best guy friend, it wouldn't hurt to call him right?
Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Rin- Click!
"Yo! Hero here!" Alfred's obnoxious voice boomed over the phone.
"Ugh, anyway. Do you know where ________ is?! Eliza and I don't know where she went!" I said, my voice cracking a bit. He paused and I could've sworn I heard someone else in the background talking to him.
"Uh, no, I haven't actually
"Alfred." I warned.
"I haven't! I sw- No, I know I haven't!" That stutter, he never stutters. Plus, he stopped himself from saying that he swears he hasn't seen her.
"I'm coming over." I said, hanging up. I didn't trust him. From the person in the background to him stuttering. This wasn't the Alfred I knew.
Maybe I wouldn't be,
Drivin' like hell
Flyin like crazy down the highway
Callin' everyone we know
Stopping any place she might be
Going any place she might go
I stopped at Eliza's house. The Hungarian jumped into the passengers side of the car and shut the door. As she put on her seat belt she turned to me.
"Where to? And, what the hell happened to make her run!?" She demanded.
"Alfred's house, I don't trust him," I said, starting up the car and racing down the street, "He stuttered and stopped himself from saying hat he swears he hasn't seen her. He just said that he knows he hasn't seen her. I don't really know what happened! She just left!" The brunette sighed.
"Don't shoot the messenger
She left because she doesn't think you love her anymore
"Why the bloody hell would she think that!?"
"Now Arthur, you never do anything for her anymore! She says you haven't said 'I Love You' for three weeks straight!"
"No buts Arthur! This can't be excused! You know her parents don't like you because of your punk past, and they'll hate you after this!"
"I don't bloody care! I love her dammit!" I yelled, smashing my hand on the dashboard, "I could care less about her parents liking me! She's the one that I care about liking me! I love her!"
Beatin on the dash
Screaming her name at the windshield
If I had loved her this much all along
Maybe, maybe she wouldn't be GONE
